Light Brahma

Originating from Shanghai, the Brahmapootras, thankfully shortened to Brahmas, are the gentle giants of the chicken world with the males growing up to 12 pounds. Their large size makes them an excellent choice for a dual-purpose bird. The pleasing distinction between the silvery white feathers of the breast, back, and legs against the greenish-black of the hackle and tail feathers were so pleasant to the eye that the Light Brahma breed earned the eye of Queen Victoria.
