Feather colors on the Delaware may appear to be without frills but consider its mostly white body a timeless classic. Bred originally to dominate the meat industry, this breed matures quickly and is relatively low maintenance with sufficient egg laying skills. A naturally curious bird, Delawares excel at free-range and are not commonly frightened by predators, leading them to be an easy choice for homesteads.
